The Face of Hall H

During San Diego Comic-Con 2015’s last day, I spotted this young woman wearing a Game of Thrones pack and Mockingjay tee. She stood in one the merchandise lines nearby the Tokidoki booth. I stopped and asked if she got into Hall H for the panels, assuming she wore giveaways. Yes! She and friends staked out place in line starting at 8 a.m. Thursday for the Friday panels. They switched off throughout the day, then stayed overnight to get in. Only four from the original group of placeholders made the hall. Yikes!

I wondered why wait so long and asked about Toucan Tracker Wristbands. For Friday panels, people lining up by 8:30 p.m the previous night increased their chances of getting into Hall H the next day. If they returned by 7:30 a.m., they could join the end of the wristband line. But this Hall H warrior, whose name I didn’t get, said that had she and her friends not staked out places in line earlier and kept them overnight, they likely would not have gotten in—even with wristbands.
