My recent return to Windows, for testing Office 12 and Windows Vista, took another step forward this evening. I picked up a Cingular 2125 Windows Mobile Smartphone. My first reaction is favorable. I got a data plan for the cell phone, too, so that I can use it for getting Web info on the go and fetching e-mail.
So, I’m officially a gadget junkie again, but in some ways not by choice. My role at work has changed somewhat, and I will need to be more accessible than ever (as if my Microsoft research service responsibilities aren’t reason enough to use the 2125).
