Looks like Orthodox Jewish hackers are replacing porn with pictures of Rabbi Menahem Mendel Schneerson. Dubbed “sex commandos”, they place text, “we, the Da-Net group, have hacked into this site and erased all its abomination”, below the images.
I understand that the hackers might view their work as righteous acts, but aren’t hackers harshly treated as criminals now? Probably, prosecuting religious folk hacking porn wouldn’t be good politics, at least here in the USA. But certain laws would treat them as terrorists. Then there is the somewhat hostile American attitude to acts committed in the name of God, Allah or respected Rabbi—no thanks to the mass murderers of Sept. 11, 2001.
Of course, the founding fathers—the heroes of the American Revolution—would be terrorists, too, under current laws. But I think of them as commandos.
