University Heights in Black and White

As I write there is an enormous thunderstorm underway in this part of San Diego; first rumbles and flashes started more than two hours ago. The cracks of thunder are overhead and all around now; our ginger cat Neko hides under one of the beds; Tortie Cali is chill in the cat tree. During drier times, Oct. 1, 2021, I used Leica Q2 Monochrom to capture the Featured Image. Vitals, aperture manually set: f/1.7, ISO 320, 1/125 sec, 28mm; 6:42 p.m. PDT.

You can see the same pillar and University Height plate in May 2019 post “Hoarder’s Paradise“. For the black-and-white photo, I found a vantage point that uses the obelisk to block the law offices sign. Location: Park Blvd and Mission.
