Yesterday, I sat around a photography studio for about three hours, while my daughter had portfolio pics taken. This painting of Jesus Christ’s crucifixion intrigued me, in part because of the surroundings. I actually don’t like Christ crucifixion images, because of the sheer brutality of this form of execution. So posting this one is quite unusual.
The painting created an odd ambiance, in part because of its style, chipped frame and location. At one point, the photographer had an older gentleman pose with the painting diagonally behind him. I snapped the image with the Sigma DP2s, which I received on April 16, 2010. I’ll have more to say about the digicam in a future post.
