Vacation 07 had to include skating practice for my 13 year-old daughter. My wife did some Internet research and located a rink fairly close to our motel. But when we got to the address, we couldn’t find the rink. Geez, is it a California thing? The rink, Ice Town, is inside the Westfield UTC shopping mall food court.
We arrived for the Sunday afternoon public skating session, which was packed with people. There’s some sense to a rink in a mall—considering kids and teens hang out at malls, anyway. My daughter had been sick the previous week, and still weak she never quite found energy for a long time on the ice. Above, she wears her new practice dress; a birthday present.
