Even in my, ahem, 50s, I still love pop punk. Shame on news outlets calling 5 Seconds of Summer a boy band. Cough. Cough. The lads are pure pop punk and remind me of Busted, which name foreshadowed that band’s disintegration. There are tinges of Blink-182 and even early Green Day, but poppier rather than punker.
