Belgian Lie—”pronounced as ‘ee'”, she says—distinguishes her photographic art by a distinctive characteristic: Red. She uses the color to accent and punctuate her images. If you spend time browsing none of the other photographers’ photostreams but one, make it hers.
Red draws the eye, particularly on her black-and-white or de-saturated photos. “Since I discovered photography I see the world in a different way”, she says. “My favorite pics, photographically perhaps not always the best ones, are the expression of my inner mood”. What mood is red, I wonder.
She shot self-titled “Silence & Serenity” on Sept. 7, 2011, in Brussels, The Netherlands, using Nikon D90. Vitals: f/5, ISO 320, 1/160 sec, 18mm. Lie joined Flickr in May 2007.
