Today’s selection is another lesson in perspective, and also composition. July Pastorello focuses on a partial subject, yet enough for us to understand the activity, while using the people watching as background canvas that compels you to learn forward and squint. They are blurred after all, in effective use of bokeh to draw the eyes away from the crisply-focused subject, which invites its own attention.
July used Sony NEX-3 to capture self-titled “Ferrara Busker Festival”, on Aug. 26, 2012. The event started in 1988 and draws about 800,000 people annually. The dates for 2015: 8/20-30, in Italy, her home country; guest nation changes yearly, and the Festival has a Flickr. Photo vitals: f/1, ISO 400, 1/640 sec. July joined Flickr in June 2010.
