There is an art to shooting with models. The style of Jonathan Emmanuel Flores Tarello reminds of Day 89 photographer Gabriela Camerotti: Dreamy and ethereal, with a touch of fantasy. I chose today’s selection, which is among his most-recently posted, for clarity, color, and contrast—and something else: Nikon dSLRs are sharp shooters that by default capture what the eye sees, rather than, say, over-saturating or unnaturally making colors vivid.
Jonathan used the D700 and 50mm f/1.8 lens (What a prime!) to capture self-titled ‘Sometimes Life Hurts” on March 27, 2015, in Mexico City, where he is from. Vitals: f/1.8, ISO 100, 1/125 sec. I also considered “Breaking Time“, but camera information is missing in the metadata.
Jonathan joined Flickr in June 2011. You can also find his photos on Facebook, where he provides context and other information about them. Combined, his Flickr and FB are a showcase for shooting models in interesting ways. According to his personal FB, Jonathan currently lives in Prague, Czech Republic.
