Here in University Heights, at the corner of Cleveland and Meade Avenues, is American Market. Next month, the Wilcox family celebrates 10 years living in the neighborhood, and the one-stop shop has been a fixture for even longer. Today, the first inklings of new art appeared on side of the building. Damn, wish I had seen the work in progress.
As I shared 16 days ago, beloved neighborhood old-time feline Fess vanished sometime overnight August 1-2. Last week, as his owner and I discussed the disappearance, Mr. Parker asked if I knew that he is an airbrush artist. I did not. He explained that he would soon paint a mural on the side of the convenience store, starting with a sketch.
I shot the Featured Image at 6:32 p.m. PDT, using Leica Q. I let Adobe Photoshop Lightroom auto-correct, which mainly changed exposure and whites, before exporting from DNG to JPEG. Vitals, aperture manually set: f/4, ISO 100, 1/160 sec, 28mm.
