I suppose these lemons could be bitter and deadly. Or, perhaps, the sign seeks something else: Pilfering deterrence. The tree hangs perilously, and temptingly, over the sidewalk and easily within reach of most passersby. Poison to eat? Yes, but what about to touch? Certainly they’re safe enough to photograph.
The Featured Image is from Leica Q, and I let Adobe Lightroom Classic CC auto-adjust because the changes were almost identical to those made by me during a test edit. Vitals, aperture manually set: f/4, ISO 100, 1/125 sec, 28mm; 12:34 p.m. PST today. I spotted the forbidden fruit along Panorama Drive, a bit beyond Adams Ave., which is just inside one of University Heights’ outer borders.
