Okay, so as I post, Christmas Day is still officially about 90 minutes away. But why wait? I used Leica Q2 to capture the Featured Image, along Campus Avenue between Meade and Monroe in San Diego neighborhood University Heights.
Vitals, aperture manually set: f/5.6, ISO 100, 1/320 sec, 28mm; 9:35 a.m. PST, Dec. 17, 2023. Composed as shot.
Confession—and they say it’s good for the soul: I would have preferred one of my other Christmas decoration shots, but none were better than this cluttered composition. Let’s value it for contrast and context—the holiday trees set against palms and summer-like feeling; high temp reached 22 degrees Celsius (72 Fahrenheit) on that day.
