Some photos demand attention for the perplexity they present. “What the frak?” is my question looking at pose and police. I want to know the context, the backstory, and there may be none other than opportune timing and provocative self-title.
Andrew Morton captured today’s selection on Aug. 22, 2002, using the Sony CD Mavica. Vitals: f/2.8, ISO 400, 1/60 sec, 6.1mm. I picked the pic for its bluster and being interesting. This one won’t win awards for image quality—certainly not from the vintage Mavica. But that’s OK. There is much more to good photography than high IQ.
Andrew joined Flickr, where he remains active, in December 2004. He is from Reno, Nevada, but the software developer lives in Boulder, Colo., with his family and dogs.
