Vivid is how I describe the street photography of Matthias Ripp. His art exudes a rich, contrasty quality that is natural; what the eye sees. Today’s selection, as do many others, feels like film. The Regensburg, Germany, native joined Flickr in November 2010, and his photostream is a visual feast from present to past.
Matthias shot self-titled “Romantic Krakow” on Oct. 8, 2015, using Leica Q, which has fixed 28mm f/1.7 lens. Vitals: f/2.8, ISO 100, 1/800 sec, 28mm. The pricey compact ($4,250 US) is full frame, and he demonstrates the capabilities in competent hands.
Our shooter’s profession is new to me, world heritage coordinator. You can find out more from his LinkedIn profile.
