While writing a scathing commentary about Apple’s reported policy of stiffing artists for the first three months of its music service (play for no pay), I use Tidal. The streamer’s so-called HiFi music is best appreciated when listening to old tracks engineered before digital compression crushed fidelity.
Queued up: Circa 1974 one-hit wonder “Beach Baby” by The First Class, which comically is a UK group singing like they are native Californians. I wondered about Tidal’s bio writeup and, well, as you can see from the screenshot that ain’t English.
