I long thought about what photo should be appropriate for April Fools. Today’s selection is about the foolish things we sometimes do—the pranks we mistakenly play on ourselves. Let me state clearly: I don’t mean by picking this pic to insinuate that Bryan Rosengrant is a fool. His sad story merely is appropriate for the day’s theme.
“The tragic part of this shot is that I forgot the camera was in there, started the washer and walked away”, Bryan explains about self-titled “Spin Cycle”, which he shot with the Nikon D60. Vitals: f/3.2, ISO 200, 1/20 sec, 10.5mm. He is from Waterbury, Conn., but lives in Atlanta, Georgia, where he is a lighting designer. He joined Flickr in July 2005, and you also can find him on Facebook and Instagram.
“Oh—and April Fools—my camera is fine. I didn’t leave it in the washer”. Bryan shot this photo on April 1, 2009.
