As I explained five days ago, San Diegans are fiendishly obsessed with Halloween. Outside the home where lives Carl, who was featured in my “Cats of University Heights” series in January 2018, is a fine demonstration. Could it be because of the SARS-CoV-2 (severe acute respiratory syndrome Coronavirus 2)—also known as COVID-19—pandemic that skeletons are the most popular displays? My neighbors sure are ghoulishly obsessed with death this year. Say, with so many people sickened or dying from Novel Coronavirus, aren’t them bones a little bit bad taste?
I used Leica Q2 to capture in Featured Image (warning: 25MB file) to which is applied the Vintage 03 filter in Adobe Photoshop Lightroom. Vitals, aperture manually set: f/5.6, ISO 100, 1/320 sec, 28mm; 3:22 p.m. PDT, Oct. 21, 2020.
