The sentiment expressed by self-titled “Time Passes Too Fast” rues my feelings about the series‘ impending conclusion. Much as I have enjoyed curating photos, 2021 demands other projects. Had I known how SARS-CoV-2 (severe acute respiratory syndrome Coronavirus 2)—also known as COVID-19—shutdowns or civil unrest would overshadow the selection process, Flickr a Week likely wouldn’t be.
But here we are, with a fabulously and intriguingly executed moment made by Christian Schirrmacher on Sept. 13, 2015, using Leica Q. Vitals: f/5.6, ISO 100, 1/125 sec, 28mm. The Berlin-based photographer joined Flickr in January 2011 but hasn’t been active for nearly three years.
