San Diegans welcomed Turkey Day (gobble, gobble) with much-needed rain overnight. Clouds threaten more downpour even now. This morning, I aborted two separate walks because of weather—but not before capturing a moment suitable to the holiday. My thanks goes to the unknown neighbor for providing the decor. I shot the Featured Image with Pixel 3 XL, cropping the pic 3:2 and auto-enhancing in Google Photos. Vitals: f/1.8, ISO 55, 1/419 sec, 4.4mm; 9:33 a.m. PST.
For the record, and it’s a confession: I am so untraditional that Thanksgiving leftovers will be last night’s pizza. Yum! Do the same next year, and pardon a turkey. Everyone else is doing it, not just the President. One of the local TV stations pardoned a bird, too—or so I saw in a fleeting gander at the segment before my wife (wisely) switched to the Macy’s parade in New York City.
