I contend that the Con’s real stars aren’t the Hollywood elite but the 130,000 fans. The book’s introduction borrows from my June 2010 post The Roles We Play, which also is the germ of idea that grew into the larger concept for Comic-Con Heroes.
The photo is the final cover mockup without the title text. I used two Android apps (don’t recall which) to comicify and colorize some of my pics taken during the Con. I created the final cover’s title text and background using Comic Life 2 (a new version released since).
