Last night, a Washington Post story compelled me to make a quick change in today’s selection. Lenny Robinson, better known around the Washington, D.C. area as the Route 29 Batman, was struck and killed after his Batmobile broke down on Interstate 70 near Hagerstown, Md. Lenny often dressed as the Dark Knight to entertain kids, and he was a superhero to hospitalized youngsters. I join others mourning his loss.
Yuri Ozeryan shot self-titled “The Real Batman”—yes, Lenny Robinson— on April 12, 2013. He joined Flickr the same month. Camera information is not available, and the image may actually be a still from video. According to the Post article, Yuri started but never completed a documentary about Lenny’s capecascades. The 51 year-old’s death is time to raise money, perhaps KickStart, to finish the film in honor of its fallen hero.
Yuri is all over social content sites, like Facebook, Google+, Twitter, and Vimeo, among others.
