This evening, after a two-year hiatus because of SARS-CoV-2 (severe acute respiratory syndrome Coronavirus 2)/COVID-19 lockdowns (and fear), Friday-night Trolley Barn Park musical concerts resumed here in University Heights.
I passed by minutes before the players took the stage and while people settled in for a pleasant evening shared listening and commiserating. Temperature was a comfortable 22 degrees Celsius (72 F). Even now, as I write, 20 degrees (68 F) refreshes park-goers.
The crowd reflects how this San Diego neighborhood has changed during the pandemic migration, as many existing residents took advantage of soaring home values to sell and newcomers moved in. The adult population is considerably younger than before the pandemic, while baby carriages and toddlers are in abundance compared to the last event in 2019.
I used Leica Q2 to capture the Featured Image and companion, aperture manual set for both. Vitals, composed as shot: f/5.6, ISO 100, 1/320 sec, 28mm; 5:54 p.m. PDT. The other, cropped, is same but 1/250 sec and one-minute later.
