The day after seeing some “politically incorrect” art left for scavengers to take, my wife and I came upon a gallery in the adjacent alley, separating Alabama and Mississippi between El Cajon and Meade. San Deigans show surprising style how they personalize their living spaces, with many residents taking advantage of the climate doing so. According to BestPlaces, the city sees 266 sunny days a year; 38 with “some kind of precipitation”. That said, the paintings—naturally, and appropriately, framed by cacti—surprised me.
Composition isn’t the best, but of the four shots taken this one provides most context. I used Leica Q2 to capture the Featured Image on June 28, 2021. Vitals, aperture manually set: f/5.6, ISO 100, 1/200 sec, 28mm; 10:04 a.m. PDT; University Heights.
