The portrait of singer Halsey isn’t the first musical selection of the series, but it is likely last. See Days 8, 16, 85, 100, 167, 178, 235, 276, 298, 315. DeShaun Craddock captured the moment on Sept. 6, 2015, using Nikon D750 and 70-200mm f/2.8 lens. Vitals: f/5.6, ISO 250, 1/250 sec, 145mm. The camera and glass deliver better clarity than I would expect. Zoom in, and you can crisply read “send help” on her earplugs.
DeShaun is a “self-taught photographer, a lover of music, and a native New Yorker. I make people who sound good, look good”. He transitioned from street shooter, when “concert photography became a regular part of my life in early 2014”.
From Brooklyn, he joined Flickr in March 2011. You can also find him on 500px, Behance, Facebook, Google+, and Tumblr. He keeps a website of concert photos, and they are exceptional. If you love music, and the artists making it, have a look.
