The Pool Player

I feel off this evening and must delay my planned treatise about the 2022 Olympic Games for another day. For now, I present a portrait of a friend behind the cue stick. He is a San Diego native—from Ocean Beach, about which he tells tales of the surprising. For example, he says that before becoming store The Black, the location was a flophouse for the free-loving kiddies of the 1960s (apparently he slept there, too).
