On Dec. 20, 2025, I dropped by a Christmas card to the house of a friend, who the next day would fly off to Pennsylvania to spend 10 days with family. The Featured Image and companions are what I encountered on the front lawn.
In Microsoft Photos, I applied the Vintage filter, which seemed so appropriate somehow. You can disagree, but what’s done is done. All four captures come from Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra. Vitals, first: f/1.9, ISO 40, 1/640 sec, 13mm (film equivalent); 9:17 a.m. PST.

Happy Christmas Eve! If you’re looking for the meaning of the holiday, read Luke 2 from a Bible or watch a “A Charlie Brown Christmas”, which for streaming (grumble, grumble) requires an Apple TV subscription or purchase if you don’t already possess a copy of the cartoon. And, hey, it’s the special’s 60th anniversary! CBS first broadcast “A Charlie Brown Christmas” in early December 1965.
