We begin the first of three cat portraits shot on Veteran’s Day (November 11) afternoon. Look closely and you will see this kitty is missing one front leg. Mini (real name) gets around surprisingly fast, and ably; noisily, too, being a talker. I shot the portrait at 4:24 p.m. PST, about 30 minutes before sunset on Monroe down from Van Dyke.
As I walked up to the house, a man carried, snuggled, and kissed the Bengal before going inside the house and setting the pet loose in the yard. The gent likely had just come home from work. I had seen the feline months earlier but couldn’t get a good photo because he moved around so quickly (yes, on three legs).
I captured the moment using Fujifilm X-T1 with Fujinon XF18-55mmF2.8-4 R LM OIS lens. Vitals for the Featured Image: f/4.5, ISO 250, 1/60 sec, 55mm. I cropped and auto-tuned Tone in Adobe Photoshop Lightroom. The JPEG is converted from RAW.
